Hi all, Rookie on board here!

Have a question I need clarification on:

I submitted to two separate lie detector tests during the mid 80's prior to being hired.  I passed the first test, but my second test was inconclusive.

However, I was NOT given any of the control questions I read in the book titled "lies behind the lie detector"

The questions I was asked prior to the relevant questions were:  Is your name XYZ, are you XX years old, Do you live at XYZ address, did you attend such and such schools, and etc.

So, how does one employ counter measures in a case such as this?  Do I go ahead and give a false (elevated)reading as soon as I being ask about my name and so forth?

Thanks in advance,
