USSS SA poly

I was polygraphed earlier this summer, almost three months now, and haven't heard anything.  I called the applicant coordinator last week to see what my status was and they called back 2 days later letting me know my file is still being reviewed.  The polygraph experience was no different than what I've read here.  Rhetoric. I was told after the first session I was having a little problem with the "control" questions.  More rhetoric. During  the second round, the drug questions were introduced, and I was told I was not being honest on them.  "Maybe there is a drug crime involved". Way off, buddy.  Third round complete.  Again, "there is no doubt you are not being honest.   If you knew how to read charts I would show them to you and you would see how far off the charts it is."  Complete rhetoric.
"Well, there is no reason to go any farther, If you can't begin being honest, that's it."
"I have told you the complete truth."

"Well, if it was up to me, you would fail, but it's not.  A panel will decide.  You will hear something in about a month."

I walked out in disbelief to say the least.

No CM's used, didn't feel they were necessary because I had nothing to lie about.  Given a chance, I would use them.  Pretty sure I am waiting for a BQA letter, but there is a small slice of hope, isn't there?

If the USSS were going to disqualify you on the basis of your polygraph results, then it really shouldn't take them three months to make that decision. That your application is still being reviewed seems to me to be a positive sign.

On the other hand, a friend who "failed" a U.S. Secret Service pre-employment polygraph has reminded me that the USSS delayed sending his rejection letter for more than a year...

Did he "fail" the poly and was told he failed the poly portion, or did he receive a BQA letter in which he may not have been competitive with other applicants in the pool at that time?   If he did fail the poly, was there an appeal and a request for a retest?

The individual George is referring to was told he failed during the "test" and interrogated aggressively. His written appeal received no response.

Note that the Secret Service appears to send everyone who fails the polygraph the generic BQA letter. To this date, we have yet to hear of any applicant receiving a rejection letter from the Secret Service that states a polygraph was failed.
