Drivers licence and Law enforcement

At the moment I am planning on taking a 5 hour course so i can take my road test. I expect to have my licence in about 2 months. Will me getting a licence within 2 months make it hard to get a police job because they will see that i just got my licence. I know agencies always say on their website" valid drivers licence at time of appointment". Since agencies will see that I am a new driver will they still hire me. Im from New York City where practically everyone uses public transportation. Any comments.
