I feel the need to share this with whoever will read.  My stepbrother was given a polygraph exam by the Phoenix police department a short time ago and failed because he was showing deception on drug related issues.  I know its easy for someone to say that he or she is innocent, but I can assure you he is innocent.  My stepbrother has known that he wanted to be a cop since a very young age and has lived his life in a manner that would not hinder his chance.   He was an A  student in high school, and was usually on the Dean's list in college.   He worked his way through college to pay for it and always lived a straight and narrow life. Some might say boring and nerdy.  His  friends are of the same type of quality.  He is 26 and has never even been intoxicated nor has he ever even tried smoking a cigarette!  Ever since he was told he failed his exam, he has become a different person.  Its to the point where I am deeply concerned about his health and well being.   He was always a positive and energetic person.  Now he has  been overcome with severe depression.  He can't even watch a t.v. show in peace.  It seems ALL HE THINKS OR TALKS ABOUT IS HOW  HE WAS FALSELY ACCUSED.  I figured it would get better over time, but I don't think it will. It has been a few months and he still acts as if it happened yesterday.  Now he is doesnt ever talk about being a police officer nor does he show any interest in it.  After 13 years of dreaming and talking about it constantly, now he mopes around and stays depressed.  He has cried many times when discussing it with my family and me.  I truly HATE  anyone who stands by these devilish and absurd polygraph beliefs.
