Quote from: Bill_Brown on May 09, 2012, 12:28 AMIt is the "Touch of Death" with federal agencies. Especially the FBI, CIA and DOD DIS. Police Departments do not get information from these agencies regarding polygraph testing on the federal level. An applicant in the private sector may do well on the polygraph for a police department.

Quote from: 68514A474C240 on May 05, 2012, 10:03 PMSo I have had a TS/SCI for about 7 years and recently got out of the Army. I secured a job (so I thought) with the FBI being an Operations Supervisor. I failed the poly for as the examiner called it "suspicious terrorist activity" on teh portions where it asked if I funded or helped terrorists. I was deployed to Afghanistan every year from 2007-2010 and had issues with talking abotu terrorism and such and explained that to him. He wasn't entertained (I caught onto his BS because I did interrogation stuff when I was in). He was trying to ego-up and ear-down for a while and we jsut left it at that. So i got the rejection letter due to a DI poly. What happens now with my clearance? Am I doomed from other jobs?
I take a poly in a couple of weeks with a police department, I requested a waiver because I have worked with polygraphs and federal polygraphers while deployed.
My questions are:
Has anyone had success requested a waiver for polygraph froma police department?
Am I truely screwed for failing this FBI bullshit poly?
Thanks in advance.
