— I took a second polygraph for an Agency. The first one the polygrapher said I was having trouble with the drug use, and on the forms part. So they called me again. I went for second polygraph. I have never used, seen, or even smelled illegal drugs nor did I lie on the forms. But polygrapher kept asking me that I am not telling them something. I told them that never used illegal drugs and didn't lie of the security forms. The polygrapher didn't believe they said the charts are not saying what I am saying ( I did not see the charts) I am really frustrated I have done nothing wrong but still can't get through. They said most likely I will have to come back for another poly. Any advice plz.

Question.  Given your direct personal experience with the polygraph mentioned above, what impression does that give you as to the ACCURACY of the polygraph?

Download and READ "the lie behind the lie detector" which can be downloaded on the home page of this site.

Suffice it to say, the polygraph is NOT valid.  The machine does NOT indicate deception.  That is just what they TELL YOU to con you into telling them more info.  The polygraph is not a test, but AN INTERROGATION DISGUISED AS A TEST.  Using the machine as a "prop" in this way, is a very clever interrogation technique, and polygraphers are skilled at getting people to say some very embarassing things  DON'T FALL FOR IT like many of us on this board have.  And don't feel bad about it either.

Read the above reference!

Good Luck
