armysgt,

(You asked in part)

"I quess [sic] what I am asking will every LE agency DQ me"

I think perhaps you may be "assuming" that certain actions and/or processes have taken place. It is not uncommon for such hiring and screening processes to be slow due to end-of-year available funding; personnel may be on annual leave, vacation, etc...

I also don't think it's necessarily fair to say that because you were disqualified or failed (not within acceptable parameters) a pre-employment polygraph administered by the LVPD, that all other LE agencies will automatically DQ you as a result, however.

I do suspect that other LE agencies that you apply with view you with a degree of suspicion.

Federal agencies such as the FBI will disqualify you from ever reapplying for employment if you fail their pre-employment polygraph exam.

I'm not sure about local LE agencies such as LVMPD and/or other similar agencies. They may allow you to reapply after a certain amount of time. Federal agencies such as the FBI, CIA, DEA, NSA, etc... once you fail one of their polygraph exams, your federal career as you know it is basically over as a result of a failed polygraph.

I suggest that you download and read "TLBTLD" available on this website for free if you have not already done so.

Simply telling the truth is "no guarantee" of passing a polygraph exam.

Knowledge is power; educate yourself about how polygraphs work, or better yet... don't work.

I just failed a poly for the LVMPD and I am pretty upset.  I told them everything about my past drug use and still failed one question on the test.  I had a conditional offer.  I passed everything else but the poly.  I was told by my B.I. all paper work  was turned in and is pending a board review.  I also applied with a couple of other agencies but heard nothing from them after they contacted my LVMPD B.I. and I assume he told them I didn't pass the poly.  I quess what I am asking will every LE agency DQ me?   :(
