Unless this has something to do with the question I have asked, you might have better luck if you create your own thread.

Hello,

Can you give me some guidance as to how I can request employment records from city department?  Is there a letter format or a form I need to get? Generally which department within a city government handles such requests?

I "failed" an FBI pre-employment polygraph.  I got the full FOIA package and appealed on a few issues but I've moved on, although I am working on a way-back machine in my spare time. :)

How might this show up (in whatever records) to a future prospective employer who requests a search of the FBI "Criminal Justice Information Criminal Files"?

I am sure this has been asked and answered many times here, but I don't know a concise way to search for it, so please provide a link if there's a past post to which you can refer me.
