koban4max,

I don't think it would be wise to expect a pre-employment polygraph exam with any LE agency to be easier after being told that you did not do well on the drug questions. I'm sure the polygraph examiner will have plenty of questions for you relating to any previous drug use.

If you have no history of drug use, don't worry about it and tell the truth. However, keep in mind that when taking any polygraph exam... simply telling the truth is no guarantee of passing. Depending on the polygraph examiner's opinion and overall view of you will significantly play into the end result.

Good luck.

Does it get easier second time around? or tougher?
I assume they would ask only the failed questions, right?

How long would that take?

Yes, some applicants do pass re-tests at the LAPD.

From LAPD, I got called saying that I passed all question except drug related.  My investigator called today and said that I have to take again. Crap.  I'm kinda nervous now.  Do people pass the second time?
