Human lie detector

Lifetime launches a new law and order series tomorrow about an FBI agent who doesn't need a polygraph to know if a suspect is lying.

"Angela's Eyes," at 10 Sunday nights, stars Abigail Spencer as a young agent who joined the FBI after her mom and dad were arrested and sent to jail by that agency. She's out to prove the whole family isn't rotten.

Even though her boss may wonder about the apple not falling far from the tree, he can't deny Angela's extraordinary talent for knowing when someone is lying.

That presents some problems in her off-duty life, especially with boyfriends she knows aren't telling the truth, not to mention a brother who is a compulsive liar.

Tonight she and her two partners investigate whether a guy murdered his missing wife.

"Angela's Eyes" is not a grabber, but its leading female character may attract women viewers for Lifetime.
