I've talked to two friends, one is a trooper down here, and the other is already on PD i am trying to get hired on.  they both told me they were asked the same questions at the end of their polys.  it seems like this is normal procedure this is something future applicants might want to keep in mind.  however i wont know until next week what the outcome is,  but as soon as i do know , i will update you guys.

cargirl,
Based on my experience of two failed polys, I'd say you probably did fine, since you weren't grilled extensively. On the other hand, sometimes there's no clue until you receive the surprising results. Try not to let the examiner's unprofessional behavior get to you. Some can be pretty twisted. I think some get off on polygraphing women. Hang in there. I'm no expert, but it sounds like you passed.

This morning I went in for my first poly with an agency in the midwest.  this thing was a bunch of bull shit. from the begining the guy was extremely standoffish, he was very unfriendly, was asking me questions and laughing about them and how he couldnt believe that i would not do something like that.  when he got done with both sets of questions he just out and out asked me how many times i beat my boyfriend, i told him never and we went back and forth over this for about 5 mins, then we he asked what i was thinking about when i was asked about past drug usage, i explained what i was thinking about he just looked at me and said "who cares", i know this is kinda undetailed but i dont want to divulge too much information, i can tell you that he used a relevent irrelevant format, there were no control questions asked what so ever. i just tried to keep my breating steady and focus on staying calm.  he did ask me two sets of questions, the first one more about drug use, the second one was more about money issues and lying about serious issues and not being caught.  as i said the post-test interrogation was pretty short, two questions.  and the he disconnected me from the machine and walked me out...i think it went well, does anyone else have any input as to how they think i might have gone????
