The Department of Defense Polygraph Institute's Law Enforcement Pre-Employment Test includes five "control" or comparison questions in Sequence/Phase 1 and four in Sequence/Phase 2. (See Appendices E and F.)

Can anyone tell me approximately how many control questions are in a typical polygraph exam?
