 Not all Law enforcement agencies will require to see your background packet from other places you applied. Most of the time they will simply call and ask what your status is with the department (withdrew, waiting for academy, disqualified etc.) All agencies do their own background investigations and will not use a packet from another department as a substitute for a background investigation of their own.

Why does a law enforcement agency always wants to see other background packets from other departments you applied at. Is it because they want to see if what you told the other department is the same thing you told them. Or is it because they will use that same packet as the background investigation to.
