First of all, the CVSA is even a bigger joke than the polygraph. The Federal government has completely invalidated its use in any Agency. THe only users are LE (local + state) to the best of my knowlege around the country. If you have to take the CVSA, first and foremost download, "The Lie behind the Lie Detector", and read chapters 3 and 4. Then read chapters 1 and 2 at your leasure. The trick to the CVSA is to walk in and be in complete control. The CVSA is nothing more than an interrogation tool, masquerading a a real machine. Stick to your background information, keep all your answers short, and know that its just a scam being perpetrated by this CVSA examiner. He may try and trick you into believing you lied or failed. Don't fall for it, as it is impossible to fail from a fraudulant machine.

Much success ..
