Quote from: anxietyguy on Mar 02, 2006, 09:33 PMCorrect me if I'm wrong but I thought the FBI never directly accuses anyone of employing countermeasures. I was under the impression that everyone gets the "did not fall within reasonable parameters letter"?

Quote from: Johnn on Mar 01, 2006, 01:56 PMYou've never taken a polygraph with the FBI, obviously. The FBI wouldn't accuse you of employing countermeasures three weeks after you've taken the test - they would accuse you of CM's during the test. And you wouldn't find out about it from calling the office.

Yes, I was accused of using Countermeasures by the FBI main office, and I guess they were right. I used marijuana more than the established 15 times or so, but that was like a zillion years ago when I was a kid. So what!!! I'm an adult now, and have had a very successful career. Got the FBI gig, and the polygrapher even told me that my results were fine and that there was nothing he could see that would prevent me from getting the job. 2 weeks later, I never heard a thing. Called the local office and they said I used countermeasures. My employment was terminated, and I am never ever allowed to apply with the FBI again. So yes, I guess I did try a little bit of the breathing, a little tongue biting on the control questions, but nothing that should have given it away. oh well. It wasn't mean to be I guess. My recommendation is don't lie!!! I regret even taking the stupid test. But I don't regret my high school good times with my friends. Don't lie on the polygraph. Just don't take the test.
