I remember reading and asking all the Poly related questions...It was quite a nerve racking experience..waiting for replies, taking all kinda tests (Physical,Psyh, etc) waiting for that special call, looking for results. I'm currently in a police academy in alabama.  I must admit, its quite a physical experience. I am looking to graduate in April! So far the academy is run as a para military organazation. We get shouted at and given very intense commands. We must shout "MAKE WAY" and stand against the wall when ANY instructor or police person enters the hallway! We are inspected at 7:45am and drilled as to 10codes, signal codes and spelling words during the inspection. We have to do 10 push ups with every one we miss! We also have Physical training every Mon. Weds and Friday and are running 2 miles each day in conjunction with timed sit ups, push ups, and stair steps......We also have to take test each Monday.  It is mandatory to get gassed, pepper sprayed, and the dreaded TAZER! We are awaiting this! But as I was saying....I can remember those days of coming here and being kinda nervous about the Poly. All I can say is hang in there, be patient and take it one day at a time!! I'm still doing that myself!! Good Luck to everyone and stay focused.
