Would having only one negative reference hurt alot on a background check. I was at a company for 4 years. I had one supervisor who I know will say something bad. I only worked with him for my last 6 months I worked at the company. My previous supervisors before him at that company are no longer there including this guy. He had problems with everyone. Could just one bad reference hurt. At my previous job before this one my supervisor would say good things, At my internship that I worked Aat in new yorks empire state building my supervisor would also say good things. Can 1 bad reference put a strangle hole in a background check for me. If anyone can provide me with any information or has been in a similar position please respond.
