Blocking on Control Questions

With regard to the blocking breathing countermeasure, if one decides to use it, should it be used only ONCE on each control question?   It is my understanding that there is about 25-30 seconds between questions, so an examinee could conceivably, after answering the question, employ blocking several times (with a series of normal breaths in between, of course).  Also, if blocking should only be used once on a control question, should you vary when you use it on the control questions? -- for example, on the first control question, use blocking immediately after answering the question, on the second control question, wait a few seconds after answering the question to block, etc.  I would think that if you block at the same time on every question, it would look too "cookie cutter" on the charts.

Yes.

Responses to control questions need to be timely, that is,  they need to appear on the chart within a few seconds of the question being asked. A good point at which to start producing a response is as soon as one recognizes a question to be a "control" question, even if it's before the examiner has finished asking it.

If one wishes to vary the timing of augmented reactions to "control" questions, one can do that, but there is very little time for delay.
