Sexual History Polygraph

Hi,

Going to take a sexual history polygraph (first sex offender polygraph) in a few weeks.  Apparently, after this particular polygraph (for which I have to contract an outside agency), I'll be taking regular maintenance polygraphs at probation.

Question:  Will the sexual history polygraph solely be about my sexual history, or will it also include a checkup on my compliance with probation regulations?  (e.g. will they ask me if I've been drinkings, staying away from movie theatres, etc.?)

I would like to hear from anyone who has actually been through this, please.

THis depends on the examiner and the rules which he or she is required to follow.  Usually the Sexual History exam is about sexual history only.  The follow up or monitoring exams will ask question regarding compliance with established rules of treatment and probation.

Freedom.

The History polygraph will be about your sexualy history. They will ask you questions like: Is there anything you are hiding from your treatment provider? Do you have any hands on victims that you have not mentioned, hands off? Have you excluded anything from your history?? Stuff like that.

The best way to pass this test is not to worry about countermeasures, ETC. You should tell them everything, even if you find it embarassing, ETC. Even if there are further crimes. I say this not because i belive the polygraph will find you out, but because there is no harm in telling your treatments provider everything. He is there to help you, even if you dont need that 'help'. Your treatment provider has probably heard everything before.

A sexual history polygraph is just that. The is the other one you refering to, and it is called a maintanence polygraph. Those are the ones that you should be worried about.

Anyways, please let me know about any specifcs you might have. I am always available.

Sounds risky to me. My personal experience with treatment providers is they say they are there to help and truthfulness will be rewarded, yet when you are truthful about messing up, they report you to probation for non-complience.

An even better bet would be to do whatever it is they tell you to do so you don't have to lie. Either that, or CYA as best as you can.
