	has anyone here passed the LAPD polygraph either with or without using CM's???? I live in PA and I REALLY want to work for the LAPD, but I am apprehensive about the poly because of my bad experience with a USSS poly where i was accused of being deceptive about drug use when, in fact, I have never even touched a drug in my life....

	I failed my LAPD poly, and was never even told on what grounds. I took a poly for the city of Torrence, CA. and passed. I hope to be hired by them in the very near future. If I were you, I would shoot for other departments other than LAPD or LVMPD. There are just too many stories of hiring bullshit going on in both departments.

You can also check out an informational pamphlet here http://www.antipolygraph.org/documents/lasd-polygraph-pamphlet.pdf Currently, the LASD is processing applicants but has cancelled an academy class for this month and also promotions to Sergeant. You should check out the local city PD's that may be hiring now. The LASD may keep you waiting for a year or more. Good Luck, Fred F.
