Hi Anti-Poly Guys...
I have a question:
Since I have been reading this site, I have learned of your opinions regarding Probable Lie Testing, Directed Lie Testing, and R&I Testing. My question is:
Is there any polygraph procedure that you believe to be based in scientific methods and you would endorse?
Since this site is called "antipolygraph.org, I guess I have asked a stupid question. I just wanted to know... ???

The Guilty Knowledge Test described by David T. Lykken in A Tremor in the Blood: Uses and Abuses of the Lie Detector at least has a plausible theoretical basis, and it might be possible to make logical inferences about a person's knowledge of a crime based on test results. Nonetheless, it appears to be vulnerable to countermeasures, and further research is needed. I can't say I endorse it at this time.
Polycop,
I would really like to talk to you in relation to the pre-hiring process that the polygraph is involved in...e-mail me if you accept, my user name is the same and the domain is at yahoo.
