I was accused of a crime that I did not commit. When asked if I would submit to a polygraph I agreed. I worked for an attorney at the time and new my rights. The attorney I worked for was a strong believer in polygraphs. When I went for the test the examiner tried to talk me out of it. He said that he knew I was lying and didn't want me to fail. I knew that I was telling the truth and insisted on taking the test. I failed. I have not idea how I could of failed it. Since I failed the test I have lost my job and will have a hard time finding a new one.

By the way, it was entirely inappropriate for the polygraph examiner to have told you that he knew you were lying before administering the "test." I suggest that you write a detailed memorandum about everything that went on during your polygraph examination. This will be helpful if you decide to take legal action.
