In addition to those victims who are denied the opportunity for employment, this will include the victims who are already employed and working with a clearance too. It is a national embarrassment that our government uses an inherently fallible tool to punish innocent individuals.
It is indisputable material fact that senior officials from the DIA Office of Security, Insider Threat Program are using the polygraph "results" by themselves to take unfavorable actions against otherwise innocent employees during periodic investigations.
What? You say that there already are Federal regulations that prohibit taking unfavorable actions against someone based solely on the polygraph? Of course there are - DODI 5210.91 strictly forbids it - just try to get someone to enforce it.
