Title: Failed FBI poly 5 years ago, up for a spot with another agency that will require another poly
Post by: Krux on Nov 01, 2016, 07:55 AM
In short, I failed the poly for the FBI in the selection process 5 years ago.  It crushed me.  I ended up admitting to things that technically weren't even crimes, writing and signing a "confession." Stupid, I know, but i was young and dumb.

Now, I'm up for a spot with another federal  law enforcement agency and that will require another poly.

Is my prior failure on my record?  If so, will I be automatically disqualified?

If not, Do I need to remember whatever it is I admitted to as disclose that?

Any help would be appreciated.  I'm fairly certain the failed FBI poly will screw me here, but want to confirm with you all.  Thanks.

I know someone who flunked a FBI poly and got hired by another three-letter agency several years later.  I don't know what he said or didn't say about his failure, but I know he did get hired.
