Title: Polygraph failed..then passed?
Post by: yardbird24 on Jan 13, 2013, 06:10 PM
I recently took a poly for the NSA. After failing the first, the examiner said I could come in the next day to retake it, since he believed I was too nervous/anxious/etc and wanted to give me another shot.

Upon arriving the next day, I was approached and told that after my exam went through "Quality Control" that no further testing was required.

Good? Bad? I have no idea if I passed of failed.

Yard,
No expert in any way "but" you called it yourself... first examination produced results that were not acceptable and (unusual from my limited experience) you were offered a second test. I would speculate that perhaps they simply decided "not" to allow that and overruled the examiner later.

I believe I have learned that these things, when on the fence more or less, seldom fall jelly side up! I would lean more towards having failed than passed just to be less disappointed in either event. Good luck with all this. Take care.
