I take a nerve medicine for pain in my hip because it needs replaced and narcotics for the bone pain. Will that affect my test? Or if i stopped taking the nerve med my pain level will be real high. Chances are i will not be able to sit or sit still for the whole test even on meds. Will they test me if i show up in a lot of pain and can't stop moving? It is a fact about my hip. I had this in the wrong place on the board so it is here now
not a guest anymore. Guess it didn't catch using the same name. Still I need some input.
from the LBTLD book I just saw "If you were to "lose [your] capability to respond" physiologically,
you would have such severe health problems as would preclude
you from sitting for a polygraph exam. If you are physically
capable of sitting down for a polygraph "test," your body is "capable"." Would that answer my question about not being able to sit still for the test due to pain?
of responding physiologically.
If your pain level is high, you are not a "fit" subject for a polygraph examination. If you are taking narcotic pain medication you are not a fit subject for a polygraph examination. Pain creates reactions on a polygraph, narcotic pain medication masks reactions on a polygraph and the result in most cases would be an inconclusive test.
I generalized in this statement because I don't know the medication you are on or your pain levels. Hope that does help answer your question.
thanks. i am taking 10 mg Lortabs at 5 a day and neurotin up to 3 times a day.
