Title: finally got CVSA results
Post by: JSho on Mar 13, 2002, 08:25 PM
After nearly four tortuous weeks since my CVSA, I got word today that I can go on to the next step (the psychological exam) so I must have "passed." I was warned though by the sergeant that I had "chosen to hide" something from them when I took the CVSA with regard to drugs and that they're really going to look into drugs in my background investigation! This is hilarious. My friends are laughing outloud about this since I've always been the "just say no" poster child. Amazing. I am still worried though that this deparment will take it into consideration that I failed another department's polygraph exam which concluded I was clean on drugs but a thief who lied on my application and commits undetected crimes.

If nothing else it points out the ludicrousness of entrusting either the CVSA or the polygraph to detect truth from falsehood. Good luck in your chosen career path,

Congratulation on your passing. I have a question about your upcoming psychological exam though. I know it's not really a topic here but could you possibly tell us your experience after you finish with it?
(How long is it, what is it like, what kind of questions do they ask... and so on)
Anyway, good luck!

Sure, it's scheduled for the 27th so I'll update you afterward.
