Title: Interpret? My results
Post by: Whathuh on Jul 14, 2011, 06:32 PM
Hey Guys,

I had an employment poly today- I know I'm honest and didn't use any counter measures, I just relaxed and tried to controll my breathing.

The examiner seemed really nice and easy with me, there was no post test questioning at all. She said "you're good to go" and told my bi "he's good to go"

She did comment and said " I can tell you had some trouble breathing on the questions that I told you to lie on, if you were a criminal I would have canned you for trying to trick me"

She smiled and shook my hand and said good luck.

I talked to my bi after that and gave me a thumbs up and Said he would be calling me tomorrow to continue the process
BUT then he said when we see how your poly results look- didn't she tell me and him both we were good to go?

I have ABSOLUTELY nothing to hide and just want to be sure she really meant it when she Said you're good to go and didn't suspect me of deceptive intentions or my chart looked bad.

This is the appalling arrogance typical of polygraphists. Unchecked power leads them to this "let them make bricks without straw" attitude. Just keep one thing in mind: she may be nice, but she is NOT your friend.

Lets wait and see what tomorrow brings.  The polygrapher said your good to go, your BI said lets wait and see your polygraph results.  Sounds like your in.

The BI wants a copy of your poly report.

Nice to hear, good luck in your new career.  Polygraph examiners are generally honest and they can be a friend if you allow them to.

Bill, I agree that you fit this description, but you are in the minority. Most that I've come across are of the Quickfix genre.

I also wish you the best of luck in your career. I hope you will print out a copy of the Bill of Rights and keep it on your refrigerator door.

Stefano,

Thank you for the compliment, and I do try to "be nice".  I have taken numerous examinations and only encountered 2 or 3 egg heads that think they are "Gods Gift to Polygraph".  Most I deal with are humans and do care about the subjects they are testing.  Hopefully we can get more of the good ones and less of the bad ones.

There are egg heads in polygraph just like there are in anything. There are plenty of nice guys.
