I am having a hard time understanding the concept of making reactions to controlled questions. When asked a controlled question do you tell the truth then do a countermeasure? or do you lie and do a countermeasure?(ex. Have you ever stole anything from work? Answer: Yes now do a countermeasure)or (Have you ever stole anything from work? Answer: No then do counter measure.
First, there is no such thing as a "controlled" question. You may benefit from reading Chapter 3 of The Lie Behind the Lie Detector which explains "control" questions at length.
When answering "control" questions, one should provide the expected answer. It doesn't matter whether it's true or not.
Thank you for your reply. So i should answer what is expected then make breathing irregular and heart rate increase?
