Title: How did i do?
Post by: dennisfield on Dec 14, 2009, 12:25 PM
Ok, hi i'm new here. but i have a question?

I applied for a dispatcher job. i took a poly and there was one question that the examiner said bothered me. i told her that it bothered me because i felt very strongly about the subject. not because i was lying. she told me to sign the paper saying i tested deceptive and that she would put in my file why i tested deceptive for that question. does that mean i failed because of that one question?

i'm trying to figure out if i can still be hired?

Unfortunately, it's impossible to say at this point whether you have been removed from the hiring process because of your polygraph results.

What precisely did the paper you signed say?

Sounds like mind games.  Every agency has different procedures on how they conduct the polygraph.

If you were not being deceptive you certainly should not have signed anything admitting you were.  That will be difficult, if not impossible, to explain at a later time.
