Title: Do you get a letter if denied?
Post by: freestate on Sep 02, 2009, 03:30 PM
If you pass the background but fail the poly and, I assume, are denied a clearance. . . do you get some sort of written notification of such?  Or does your clearance officer at your employment just orally tell you?

Are you REQUIRED TO GET WRITTEN NOTICE OF DENIAL?

Depends on the agency...in my experience, I was told it "looked good but they had to send it to HQ" for the FBI three years ago, only to be called a week later and told "nope, sorry."  My current job they told me I was good before I left the chair.
