Title: SF86 and seizure letter
Post by: 1040htown on Jul 03, 2009, 09:34 AM
Hi all,
I think I know the answer to this already but I would appreciate some feedback. I am filling out an SF86 form and one of the questions is ;
" in the  last 7 years have you ever been involved in  the illegal possession, purchase, manufacture, shipping, receiving, handling sale of any controlled substance?"

About 4-5 years ago I ordered Valium off the internet. I know it was stupid but I was having severe anxiety and my insurance company was giving me hassles about prescriptions so it seemed like a good short term fix. The amount I ordered was for personal consumption.

It turns out I got a got a seizure letter so I assume I may be in some type of database.  Other than that I lead a very boring squeaky clean life and have no other issues with a clearance.

I think I should just answer honestly but I then wonder what kind of follow up questions I will get and technically speaking I never received anything.  When I got the letter a lawyer friend told me not to answer it and throw it away..

Since it was so long ago   I do not remember the details so if I do put any information down on my SF86 I am afraid it will cause a red flag because of my vagueness.

Does anybody know for sure if there is a national database that can link me to the online pharmacy? I have since moved..

Thanks in advance for all your help..
