Title: interagency sharing
Post by: RRY on May 27, 2008, 01:20 AM
I have not been able to find a definitive answer to this question. Recently, I failed a polygraph for FBI pre-employment. I attached a statement detailing the situation (it was a minor drug policy violation. I was off by 2 months from 3 years without marijuana.) My question is this: do agencies share this information? would CIA or OPM know about this? and if so, to what extent? Thanks in advance.

Yes, federal agencies do share applicant files, including polygraph reports. You can expect your FBI polygraph results, along with your written statement, to be provided to the CIA if you seek employment with that agency.
