I think you would have to contact some LE agency since they are the only entity that can lawfully use CVSA. EPPA prevents you from hiring or firing, in private business, by using one. You may be wanting to do research on it I don't know. CVSA is as useless as tits on a boar hog. Even the maker of the damn thing testified that it has no ability to detect truth or lies.

I am looking to buy a voice stress detector, but I am not convinced which technology is better; CVSA or LVA?
Would appreciate any suggestions and offers.
Respectfully,

Ark, in case you were not aware, voicestress.org was architected by political operatives of the polygraph industry.

Indeed, the polygraph v. voice stress battle  -- as it pertains to market share -- is an interesting phenomenon.

To learn more about this storied turf war, I highly recommend "The Clapper Memo," a fairly recent book by Bob McCarty.

I didn't know it was created by them--those rascals.

Have you ever tried one (cvsa) out Dan?

Ark, I have no experience with voice stress instrumentation, but I'll say this: For anyone contemplating going into the lie-detection bu$ine$$, voice stress might be a better way to go than polygraph.  All lie-detection methods are BS (Belief System) based, and voice stress seems to have a strong following of believers. BTW, about one quarter of the people who inquire about my services (on the retail level) ask if a voice stress "test" is available.
