Title: did I get setup by my back ground investigator?
Post by: winchester on Sep 30, 2006, 09:50 PM
Here is my background situation, admitted to the polygrapher that I had some basic knowledge of the poly when I went in for the last phase of the hiring process for a large sheriff department.

He immediately went on the defensive...

Anyways my BI instructed me to ask him if I passed or not and then contact her with the results?

me being the trusting honest person I am did just that, I fear that this made me look guilty as sin

Is this standard procedure or was I setup for failure, through some research it seems like they never give you the results right after the poly?

I was interrogated for about 20 mins after the poly and was told I was lying even when I wasn't.

I really wish I had read up before I took this test
