Title: One Control on my entire Poly! Possible?
Post by: Sparow on Sep 21, 2006, 12:01 AM
Hello once again,

These are the exact questions asked to me on my polygraph.  The test was broken into two phases which kinda threw me.  Each phase had two subphases consisting of 5 minutes each.  Phase One 10 minutes Phase Two 10minutes with a break inbetween the two phases.
Here are the questions for Phase 1:

The questions were asked several questions in random orders
1. Did you purposely omit or give false information on your application
RELEVNT
2. Have you ever committed a serious undetected crime?
RELEVENT
3. Other than what you have told me have you ever stolen anything?
CONTROL
4. Have you ever used any illegal drugs?
RELEVENT
There was also a peppering of irrelevent questions such as Is your name ___ and were you born in _______ and Are you in ________

Phase Two was as follows:

1. Are you attempting to withold or conceal information about yourself?
RELEVENT
2. Have you ever committed an illegal sex act?
Unsure of RELEVENT OR CONTROL
3. Are you witholding any information about your alchol history?
RELEVENT
4. Have you ever sold any illegal drug?
RELEVENT
This also had the smattering of irrelevants.

As you can see there was only one control question on my whole polygraph test. This is all I reacted to and the test came back unreadable. I am wondering if there is a possible other control im not seeing or is it normal for only one Control on an entire test?

Thanks for any help guys, I enjoy reading the message board Keep up the good work!

Phase 1-my guesses for what it is worth

1-relevant
2-control (serious crime is a relative, vague term)
3-control (vague)
4-relevant

Phase 2

1-Control (conceal ANY info-too vague)
2-Relevant
3-Control (conceal ANY info-vague)
4-Relevant
