Title: sf 86 admission
Post by: iceman5186 on Aug 01, 2006, 05:05 AM
I was told that as an military officer, admission to using illegal drugs in the past (does not matter how distant) can mess with your career.

I'm in ROTC and at the time of taking my initial sf 86 I had never done an illegal substance.  Since then, however, its a different story on a few separate occasions if you get my drift.  Anyways, I'm about to contract and I need to fill out the sf86 again.  Can I just pretend none of that ever happened?  If I admit, then are there direct repercussions?

I'm not a liar, but if I'm gonna get booted out of ROTC what am I supposed to do?  At the time I guess I never realized the direct effects a couple puffs would do.

Any advice I would really appreciate.  Also, check out my previous post.  I need some advice on that one too.

BTW, I'm not as big of a piece o' s*** as my posts seem to show.  LoL.

If they ask you if you have ever done drugs, be truthful. If they ask, have you ever been convicted of using drugs and you haven't, say you haven't.
