Title: Lafayette's Mental Countermeasure "Detector"

Now how in god's name does a company claim they have an instrument that can detect mental countermeasures through the use of a microphone?  Talk about snake oil.  These companies are making fortunes off of agencies that believe this shit works.

your right , but lafayette is a well known company in the polygraph comunity as well for the computerized ones.  Thier countermeasure method seem's to be  something similar to voice stress analizer which measures a certain part of your voice when your deceptive.. This method is more garbage science thann regular polygraphyyy

I can see how the CVSA claims to "work", but this machine is being marketed to specifically detect mental countermeasures by somehow using voice analysis (if I am understanding their marketing hype correctly).  CVSA uses voice analysis to try and indicate deception, but I have no idea how voice analysis could indicate countermeasure use!!!

Kinda reminds me of the X ray vision glasses you used to be able to order out of the back of Mad magazine as a child.  Sounds too good to be true.
