Title: Thank-you all!
Post by: patchette on Nov 10, 2001, 01:39 PM
I would like to express my utmost graditude to all those people running this website and answering questions.  I just recently decided (against your advice) to take a polygraph for a criminal investigation involving a theft of a hefty sum of money from my work.  I figured that since I was innocent it would all work out well.  I was a bit apprehensive about employing the suggested counter-measures described in The Lie Behind The Lie Detector, for fear of getting caught and making myself look guilty for something I did not do.  I was amazed at how exact the book was about the procedure and was very calm and collected because I knew I was in control of the situation.  I employed counter-measures without any notice.  Everything worked out well and the examiner said that I passed "with flying colors!!!"  Thank-you so much for your help with the situation and making it easier for me to stomach the whole experience... I never would have passed without this site.

Nicely done, Patchette.

May I ask, are you aware of any of your peers being accused of deception based on their polygraphs? How much did your accuser pay for the polygraph interrogations? And finally, if you're comfortable informing me, I'd appreciate knowing in what state you reside.

Patchette,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

You got the knowledge...you had the power.  It is always nice to hear success stories. Hopefully your employer will not involve you in any further investigations in this matter.

Keep up the good work!!!!!

Fred F. ;)

I work for a large corporation in CT, they did not let us employees know how much the testing would cost.  It was done through the local police department.  The gentleman interrogating me however told me that the testing procedure cost a lot of money so if there ws anything I needed to tell him I should before the test ;).  Again, my employers don't tell us too much so I'm not sure who took the polygraph, who passed or who was seen as decietful.  Thank-you again for your help!!
