Is current depression grounds for not obtaining clearance?  Same fully disclosed on application documents.   Thanks.

Other states may not be the same, but if you were confined in a hospital for persons with psychiatric disabilities within the preceding twelve months by order of a probate court you cannot legally possess a firearm.

If that's the case you cannot be a police officer until after that time period is over.  And even then it might be a very tough go.
