Title: Poly vs BI?
Post by: PD1 on Apr 11, 2006, 01:08 PM
Hello all,
What if X person goes through the BI process and a former associate (angry for whatever reason), tells the investigator that he smoked MJ with person X one year ago? However, X passes the polygraph exam.  Would the PD place more value on the polygraph or the background investigation?

Thanks.

My ex depatrtment would put more weight  on the results of the polygraph test.  I'm not saying this is true in your case but many times contacts  in BIs will give false information  because of a personal dislike  for someone.
