Title: Does the USMS utilize the poly?
Post by: usmsplease on Apr 04, 2006, 10:02 PM
Hey guys, I was just wondering if the US Marshal service requires all hired employees to submit to the poly? I couldnt find any news to this. I am interested in a career and I am curious as to the hiring policy relating to the fitness test, poly, etc.

I have of course digested the USMS site but couldnt find all I needed to know. Thanks for any information.

I think it would be safe to assume that they do. Pretty much all of the federal agencies do.

Last I checked they did not poly, however, stated that you may be subjected to one.  USMS is actually pretty hard to get into now unless you go through their college internship program or are prior military.

Also, you may or may not know this, but it is NOTHING like in the movies.  Most US marshals have a very boring job filled with monotonous days of court security and prisoner transport.
