So, I have a question to put to the people who visit these boards.

Say you are on probation, and you have to take a polygraph as a stipluation of your probation. Or even more likly, you are on probation for a sex offense. You take the polygraph.

From what i understand, the polygraph is a scare tactic. So you fail the polygraph and fail, but have nothing to hide. The people in control of you life are gonna wanna know why you failed the polygraph. So, do you admit to nothing, because you are innocent, or do you come up with some minor reason?? I dunno.  Can you put you in jail as punishment for failing a polygraph? or anything else??

Please post your comment!

In most cases, your treatment provider will remove you from the treatment program if you are unable to pass polygraph examinations.  Removal from a court ordered treatment program violates the terms and conditions of your probation/parole and you can be violated.  This is not the case in all states or jurisdictions, but in many.  Check with your PO.  He/She has the answer to your question.
