I have never taken a Poly, but I have done a lot of reading. I am convinced that TLBTLD seems to be a very good book. It does seem to mirror Mr. Williams book, and techniques.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the similarities?
Obviously, the Polygraphers have an extreme vested interest in keeping their profession. No one wants to lose their job, even if it is based on deceipt and intimidation. It pays the bills.

Indeed, the countermeasures described in both AntiPolygraph.org's
The Lie Behind the Lie Detector (http://antipolygraph.org/lie-behind-the-lie-detector.pdf) and Doug Williams's "How to Sting the Polygraph" are similar in that they entail augmenting reactions to "control" questions. There are no published scientific studies comparing the relative effectiveness of
TLBTLD and "How to Sting the Polygraph," however, I believe that
TLBTLD is better researched and documented and more informative than Mr. Williams's manual.

Hey thanks George.
I have to tell you I really respect what you are doing. It is kind of hipocritical for the LE Agencies and the Gov. in General to use the Polygraph. I mean after all they advocate "Honesty" and "Integrity" but will use lies, deciept and intimidation to take short cuts and get to the information that is more than likely B.S.
Anyway, it takes a lot of bravery to do what you do and you deserve a lot of respect for that.

I bought and purchased dougs book and the book from www.passapolygraph.com and they both were almost the same. However, passapolygraph.com seemed more up to date. It mentioned that the polygraph community is getting wise to showing a reaction to every question. It suggests that you only show a reaction to a few control questions.
