Title: tragic CIA poly
Post by: missnina on Dec 01, 2005, 09:16 PM
I just had my poly a couple days ago.  I'm just absolutely irate about the whole experience.  The job I was offered was my absolute dream job -- they even scheduled me for an office visit at Langley that was wonderful.

What is nagging at me is the fact that I was completely uneducated about the test before I went in.  I knew that I had fudged the times that I had smoke pot in college on my BI form, so that was weighing on me.  During the interrogation I admitted that I had possibly tried pot 2-3 more times during those years, but it was only "a drag at a party".

I was scheduled for another poly the next day, but this time I went home and read about the process.  During the second poly, she said it was going badly and kept pressing and pressing for more info on drugs until I almost cried (but I never admitted anything else).  She didn't schedule me for a third, but it seemed unresolved.

Do you think I have absolutely any chance of getting through security?  I want this job more than anything.

Please give me advice, condolences, hope, something!

Are you stating that you admitted to smoking pot during the poly different/more than on your BI.

If this is so then you did not do well. I dont say passed because I truly dont believe that there is a passing grade. Only how they use reaction vs. reaction.

You should be totally honest with how you fill out forms or continue to fudge ( as you stated ). You cant change your story.

Perhaps I did not understand what you wrote. Anyway you will know within 4-8 weeks.

by fudging and then getting anxious and admitting to fudging, you basically add credence to the polygraphy community's claim that the tool is useful.

You have to remember, that you can lie on a poly, but
not on the SF86 BI form (there are no reprecusions
for lying on a poly, although, the polygrapher will want
you to believe otherwise)...

I just wonder why they called me back for a second poly, if they think they caught me on a lie on my SF-86 during the first one.   Did they want to get more out of me or just torture me?    If I was automatically dismissed, while call me back for the second one?

Doesn't sound so "tragic" to me,  if you were ultimately hired by the f*cking Agency. ::) ::)
