Title: Waiting for a Call
Post by: Persil_White on Nov 22, 2005, 04:38 PM
Looking for some guidance here -  Had my interview with DI managment in late October,,,was told I would hear in 2-3 weeks.  Nothing yet, nor any response to an email to the "Recruitment Center" regarding status.  Any thoughts on the delay, and is it a good thing or a bad thing?

I wouldn't read too much into it.  From what I remember about my own experience, I received an offer at the far end of the time frame they gave me.  I remember thinking to myself that it must be a bad sign that they are taking so long to get back to me...but I eventually got the job.  So...just remember that the gov't is slow (and you will definitely learn this if you receive an offer and proceed forward), and the long waits are mostly an indication of bureaucracy and red tape than a bad omen.

Also, until you receive an offer (and thus a Program Officer), the best you can do as far as communication with the agency is to contact the "Recruitment Center".
