I've been observing this message board for some time now and I have an observation I'd like to make public.
Concering polygraphy and false positives, doesn't even ONE false positive result of an innocent person disagree with the basic values of which this nation's justice system was founded on? We have rights to a fair trial, jury, etc......and it is said our justice system would rather free 10 guilty men, than convict one innocent man. Ironically, many polygraphers justify a few false positives to catch a few guilty men, however I doubt they would be so accepting if it happend to them. Is this America?.... chancing the destruction of the hopes and dreams of the innocent so we can cater to dealing with problems of the criminals? :-/ I cannot believe that this can happen in this country, it makes me sick. I have not seen even ONE polygrapher answer the question concerning the ONE poor guy who cannot obtain a job to support his family because of a false positive. In my opinion, if this can happen at all, it should be illegal, and for those who oppose me, ask yourself how you would feel if it had happend to YOU.

Well, it seems in the eyes of the examiner, that they are flawless, using a system based on pseudo-science and seemingly accepted in most law enforcement communities. Yes, they can and will change your life, like most predjudices, it can take on anytime with no rhyme or reason. If they are having a bad day, don't like the way you look, dress, talk, answer them, etc. They can alter your life. So why we let these gremlins control our lives and our futures is beyond me. Seems that most of the people on this forum have been burned by the deceptive nature of the Polygraph examiner. We should end this carnival soon, too many innocents are plowed into the wayside with these examiners!

If I can offer advice, please take those feelings and turn them into answers and educate others and work towards helping the oppressed of the poly.
It takes alot of courage and inner strength to recognize the hard realities of this country, but just like you say, who will help the innocent man?
