Can anyone with pacer access post the minutes of the hearing below
News Release 9/10/04
U.S. Federal District Court, District of South Florida
Baker v NITV, Charles Humble and Lourdes Irimia.
This federal lawsuit was settled through mediation.
Is the character of the nitv being called into question?
Dear backtracker,
When a federal lawsuit is settled through mediation, most if not all of the content of the mediation is kept private. Neither side holds the other responsible and the proceeds are sealed. The original petition is discharged for "consideration."
Normally this means a financial settlement has been found and the whole scenario ceases to exist. It never happened and no future actions will be taken.
In most cases, the government knows that it will lose the case in law or public opinion so it tries to cut its losses and makes monetary payment to avoid any future ramifications.
Good luck in finding any information about this.
Regards.
Results of a gov't lawsuit are available from a gov't web site at:

NITV exported to South Africa, South Korea, and Mexico without permits and agreed to pay a fine of $77,000.
I don't think that's the same as the Baker v. NITV cited above, but it's interesting.
I would happily answer any specific question re my Federal lawsuit against NITV and my ongoing lawsuit against NITV in Florida State Court. GBaker
Can anyone give an update on how this lawsuit turned out?
