I can't really address the what-ifs but look at the bright side: you get to keep the suit  ;D.

And you would have had to pay those tickets eventually.  If the salary they countered with is acceptable to you then I hope you do well on the polygraph AND I hope you can begin working soon.

But don't quit your day job in anticipation.  

Maybe you can help them find the lost WMD's  :o.

Opp,

I am in the process as well and internally debating whether to use the countermeasures or not. Are you going to try and use them?

I hear that a lot of people use CM and they still fail. I am not going to use them myself simply because I don't have anything to hide. I will be honest all the way and if it means to be I will get the job. I think I'll be OK.
