Title: Coral P2P Distribution Network
Post by: Administrator on Jan 01, 2005, 09:34 AM
On an experimental basis, links to some of AntiPolygraph.org's most popular files have been changed to route requests through New York University's Coral Distribution Network (http://www.scs.cs.nyu.edu/coral/). The Coral project is a distributed, peer-to-peer caching proxy with some 400 servers worldwide. When a "Coralized" link is accessed, a copy of the file is served from the Coral network instead of from AntiPolygraph.org's own server. This should generally result in faster download times for users and will save AntiPolygraph.org potential bandwidth costs.

Any URL can be "Coralized" by adding ".nyud.edu:8090" to the domain name. For example, the direct link to our e-book, The Lie Behind the Lie Detector, is:

http://antipolygraph.org/lie-behind-the-lie-detector.pdf

The link for downloading from the Coral network is:

http://antipolygraph.org.nyud.net:8090/lie-behind-the-lie-detector.pdf

The default link to The Lie Behind the Lie Detector has been changed to this "Coralized" version on our publications page (http://antipolygraph.org/pubs.shtml) and homepage (http://antipolygraph.org), and links to some other popular files have been similarly modified.
